On Wednesday (January 12, 2022), Air France announced the launch of a new more eco-responsible collection of comfort kits. This winter, Air France long-haul Business Class guests will be offered a new amenity kit, the first model made of 93 percent recycled material. The sober and elegant kit features the airline’s historic winged seahorse emblem and is available in navy blue or grey. Special thought has also been given to the contents of the comfort kit, which includes a toothbrush and pen made of cornstarch and ear plugs packaged in kraft paper, thus eliminating the unnecessary use of plastic. To ensure optimum guest comfort, the kits also include a large and soft sleep mask, socks, toothpaste and Clarins cosmetics.
Guests traveling on long-haul flights in Premium Economy will also be treated to a new eco-friendly amenity kit. The Premium Economy kit comes in dark blue and has a sporty look which features the Air France ‘Accent’ symbol in a red or blue version. In the same spirit of conservation, this kit also includes a toothbrush made of cornstarch and ear plugs wrapped in kraft paper, as well as a sleep mask and a pair of socks. In all cabins, the plastic packaging of each kit has now been replaced by a tamper-proof seal. Additionally, headphones are systematically cleaned and disinfected, allowing Air France to eliminate the previously offered single-use headphone protectors. The new amenity kits are just part of Air France’s ongoing commitment to the reduction of single-use plastics onboard.
