On Monday (October 20, 2025), Air France announced the inauguration of their new lounge at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD), which officially opened on Friday, October 17, 2025.  Located in terminal 5, this new lounge reflecting Air France’s brand image and service standards will be operated in partnership with Global Lounge Network.  The lounge now welcomes Air France Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers, as well as eligible KLM travelers.  Covering nearly 470 square meters and equipped with 105 seats, the lounge is open from 5:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily.  For winter 2025/26, Air France will operate up to seven weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Chicago O’Hare with an Airbus A350.

Featuring high ceilings and large bay windows that provide soft, natural light throughout the day, the lounge offers an uninterrupted view of the runways.  Designed by Air France teams in collaboration with the agency SGK Brandimage, the lounge showcases Air France with the use of their historic logo, the winged seahorse, and posters illustrating the airline’s rich heritage.  Air France’s signature colors, with shades of blue, luminous whites and touches of red, give the whole space a refined and chic atmosphere.  The soft furniture has been carefully selected to offer optimum comfort.

Located at the heart of the lounge, a catering area invites guests to enjoy a French-style culinary experience.  This warm and inviting space has nearly forty seats and a large table for optimum conviviality. Throughout the day, a range of dishes changes, with hot and cold, savory and sweet dishes, including vegetarian options.  Guests can enjoy classics such as beef bourguignon, country-style chicken, and chocolate mousse with caramel cream.  To create a tasty, more sustainable menus, Air France favors local and seasonal produce, while paying particular attention to limiting food waste and sorting and recycling catering items.

Additionally, water fountains are available to reduce the consumption of single-use plastic.

Inspired by the atmosphere of the Grand Parisian hotels, the bar area is staffed by a bartender or available on a self-service basis, and features a selection of champagnes, French wines and spirits.

Additionally, Flying Blue Ultimate customers have access to their own dedicated space within the lounge, equipped with four comfortable seats guaranteeing peace and comfort.  This space assures everyone’s privacy while providing easy access to all the available services.

Throughout the lounge, there are plenty of comfortable seats for customers to relax, work or enjoy something to eat.  More private relaxation areas, equipped with ottomans and seats facing the runways, are also available for those with more time before departure.  A quiet, functional work area and a dedicated booth for making phone calls also ensure a peaceful atmosphere.
