On Thursday (June 17, 2021), Air Dolomiti, the Italian airline of the Lufthansa Group, announced the restart of twice-weekly service from Catullo Airport in Verona, Italy to Berlin and Düsseldorf. Berlin flights will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays starting June 19th, while service to Düsseldorf will be offered on Thursdays and Mondays from June 24, 2021. The resumed service will allow travelers from the Verona catchment area to enjoy two charming transalpine destinations for the summer, while offering German travelers the opportunity to visit the famed Italian city of Verona and the nearby region.

In Thursday’s announcement, Air Dolomiti’s President & CEO, Joerg Eberhart, said,

“We are very pleased to intensify our scheduling with Verona Airport and to offer our passengers the possibility to reach, with direct connections, other cities in Germany. These flights, already inaugurated last year, were unfortunately quickly suspended due to the worldwide pandemic and today I am therefore particularly pleased to be able to announce their resumption, which indicates an encouraging turnaround in the restart process. Passengers who need to travel to Düsseldorf and Berlin for business or leisure will have a fast and streamlined opportunity to reach these important cities of great historical and artistic interest as well as essential poles of German economic life.”

Also commenting on the restart of the German routes, Catullo Airport’s Chief Executive Officer, Monica Scarpa, added,

“The resumption of Air Dolomiti flights to Berlin and Düsseldorf which, after a period of suspension, join those to Frankfurt and Munich, is an important step in the gradual recovery of Catullo Airport’s activities. For the Verona area, Germany is the leading economic partner at the international level and Air Dolomiti’s activities contribute to developing and supporting both business and tourist flows with this country.”

Air Dolomiti is offering roundtrip fares on the Verona-Berlin route from €149 and to Düsseldorf from €170, taxes and surcharges included. The new connections are part of the Lufthansa Group’s Miles & More loyalty program, allowing frequent flyers to benefit from numerous advantages and benefits.

Air Dolomiti was founded in 1991 with the goal of connecting the main Italian airports to Germany, especially Munich and Frankfurt. In 2019, the airline carried over 2.5 million passengers, operating multi-day frequencies to Italian and European destinations. Air Dolomiti operates a fleet of 15 Embraer E195s and prides itself on being an efficient and reliable airline that puts customers first. The airline’s Fare plan provides five different options including three economy and two business fares, which allows guests to select the set of services that best suits their needs.
