On Tuesday (September 7, 2021), Air Canada announced the launch of an expansion of their Travel Ready hub, an interactive online tool to help customers plan and prepare for upcoming trips. The enhanced tool features a search widget so customers can access information specific to their situation and itinerary. The Travel Ready hub allows customers to review entry requirements of every country on their itinerary, including connections or travel with an Air Canada partner, as well as COVID-19 testing type requirements and valid time windows. Additionally, the tool includes travel advice such as suggested airport arrival times.

In today’s announcement, Air Canada’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Lucie Guillemette, said,

“We continue to develop practical solutions to help our customers be travel-ready, wherever they want to go. This includes assisting them in navigating the changing entry requirements set by countries in our global network by making all relevant information available in one convenient place. But beyond making essential travel information readily accessible, our easy-to-use Travel Ready hub is designed to make it simple for customers to choose where to go next by showing the countries that are open to visitors through an interactive map.”

As Air Canada continues to implement initiatives to streamline the guest experience as they restore and strategically rebuild their international, transborder and domestic route networks. The airline offers flexible change and cancellation options, a new digital solution to securely scan and upload COVID-19 testing results via the Air Canada App, several check-in options, touch-free bag check and drop services, and digital presentation of all reading materials via PressReader on personal devices. Additionally, lounge visitors can order food directly to their table through the new Maple Leaf @ la table service.
