On Monday (April 26, 2021), Airbus announced the delivery of Air Cairo’s first Airbus A320neo on lease from ICBC leasing. The aircraft is powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines and joins Air Cairo’s all Airbus fleet of seven aircraft. Air Cairo’s new A320neo is configured with a 186-seat all Economy Class layout. The aircraft offers exceptional technical, economic and environmental performance, while providing the widest cabin of any single-aisle aircraft and the latest generation inflight entertainment (IFE) system. The A320neo Family of aircraft incorporates the latest technologies, new generation engines, Sharklets and aerodynamics, which deliver a 20 percent reduction in fuel burn and CO2 emissions compared to previous generation Airbus aircraft. To date, the A320neo Family has received over 7,450 orders from more than 120 customers.
