On Friday (October 1st, 2021), Aeroflot announced the launch of twice-weekly service between Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The service will operate on Fridays and Sundays during October and a third weekly frequency on Wednesdays will be added in November. The route will be operated with a state-of-the art Airbus A350 configured with 28 private Business Class Suites, 24 Comfort Economy seats and 265 Economy Class seats. Business Class guests will enjoy two meter fully lie-flat beds, with a level of comfort rivaling the first class offering of most major airlines. The A350 is also equipped with Wi-Fi and the latest inflight entertainment system in all cabins.

Aeroflot operates their international flights from Moscow Sheremetyevo’s Terminal C. The airline’s Malevich Lounge is located in the airside area of the terminal and offers guests a nice view of the airfield, fine food and beverages, comfortable lounge chairs, sleep pods, a kids play area and a spa zone, as well as an enclosed smoking area. A festive atmosphere was created for today’s inaugural flight to Punta Cana with a Latin American music and dance performance. Once onboard, each guest received souvenirs and welcome drinks, including Champagne and Dominican rum. Upon arrival in Punta Cana, the A350 was greeted with a traditional water cannon arch salute. For Russian citizens, the Dominican Republic is visa-free and a negative COVID-19 test is not required.
