On Friday (May 14, 2021) Aeroflot announced that they will be the official airline of the 2021 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The carrier will deploy their flagship Airbus A350 on some flights between Moscow and St. Petersburg, increasing capacity and providing SPIEF guests with an added level of comfort. Aeroflot’s A350 is configured in three classes with 28 private Business Class suites, 24 Comfort Class seats and 264 Economy Class seats. The unique Business Class suites feature 2-meter full-flat beds, a high level of privacy and personal space and a 54cm IFE screen – a product rivaling the First Class cabins of most major carriers. The aircraft also features an advanced multimedia system and high-speed internet access across all classes of service. Economy and Comfort Class seats offer increased legroom and pitch, while the spacious cabin offers reduced noise and adaptive lighting, creating a relaxing atmosphere for guests.
In Friday’s announcement, Aeroflot’s CEO, Mikhail Poluboyarinov, said,
“St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is one of the key high-profile business events of the year. Aeroflot is both the official carrier and a regular participant of the Forum. SPIEF, which has been held for almost a quarter of a century, provides perfect opportunities to share best practices, discuss new approaches and effective solutions. On the days of the Forum, to ensure comfort of the participants some flights on the Moscow – Saint-Petersburg route will be operated on our newest flagship A350 aircraft. I hope the SPIEF guests will appreciate the new level of comfort of Aeroflot’s most modern aircraft.”
