AerCap Signs Lease Agreements With Norse Atlantic Airways for Nine Boeing 787 Dreamliners

AerCap has signed lease agreements with Norse Atlantic Airways for six used Boeing 787-9s and three used 787-8s. All the aircraft are powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines, and they are scheduled for delivery in 2021.

On Monday (March 29, 2021), AerCap Holdings N.V. announced the signing of lease agreements with Norse Atlantic Airways for nine Boeing 787 Dreamliners, including six used 787-9s and three used 787-8s. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2021 and are all powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines. Norway-based Norse Atlantic Airways plans on launching long-haul LCC services, connecting major European cities with the U.S.


In today’s announcement, AerCap’s Chief Commercial Officer, Peter Anderson, said,

With its superior operating characteristics, the 787 is the perfect aircraft for Norse Atlantic Airways to launch a modern long-haul low-cost airline, and we are delighted to be supplying them with their first aircraft. Also commenting on the new lease agreements, Norse Atlantic Airways’ Chief Executive Officer, Bjørn Tore Larsen, added,
