Wizz Air to Launch Twice Weekly Service Between Tel Aviv and Larnaca

The airline will offer twice-weekly service between Tel Aviv and Larnaca from March 30th, with an increase to three weekly flights starting May 6, 2021. Earlier this week, the carrier announced the offer of optional COVID-19 coverage through a partnership with Chubb.

On Friday (January 29, 2021), Wizz Air announced the launch of twice-weekly service between Tel Aviv and Larnaca form March 30th, which will be increased to three weekly flights starting May 6, 2021. Earlier this week, the airline also announced that customers can now also purchase optional COVID- 19 insurance coverage through a partnership with Chubb. The insurance covers COVID-19 related cancellations and medical expenses when traveling abroad. Wizz Air’s travel insurance also covers lost, stolen or damaged baggage as well as missed departures.


Speaking on the launch of the new Tel Aviv-Larnaca route of Friday, Wizz Air’s Corporate Communications Manager, Paulina Gosk, said,


“Today we are delighted to announce a new route between Tel Aviv and Larnaca, an attractive summer destination in Cyprus. With Today’s announcement we are bringing to Israeli travelers more opportunities to enjoy long-awaited holidays. Thanks to Wizz Air’s enhanced health measures onboard, passengers can travel while feeling safe and comfortable.”


Budapest, Hungary-based Wizz Air serves 155 destinations across 45 countries and operates an all Airbus fleet of 134 A320 and A320/21neo Family aircraft, with an average age of five years. Wizz Air is the largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in Central and Eastern Europe offering over 710 routes from 38 bases. During FY 20 (ending March 31, 2020) the airline served approximately 40 million guests.
