On Tuesday (October 10, 2023), Wizz Air announced the launch of new twice-weekly service from Radom Airport in central Poland and Larnaca, Cyprus starting December 13, 2023. Located on the beautiful shore of the Mediterranean, Larnaca offers visitors a blend of rich history, picturesque landscapes, pristine beaches and modern charm. Larnaca is also home to historic sites such as the Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque, as well as a diverse range of other attractions. Travelers can also enjoy day trips to the ancient city of Kourion, or enjoy Cyprus’ scenic Troodos Mountains.

In Tuesday’s route announcement, Wizz Air’s Corporate Communications manager, Sasha Vislaus, said,

“We are excited to introduce this new route from Radom. This expansion is a testament to our mission of making air travel more accessible and enjoyable to ever more passengers, and we are happy to offer a new leisure destination for the travellers from Radom Airport. We look forward to serving passengers on this route and providing them with an exceptional travel experience. Passengers can expect the highest standards of service, comfort, and safety thanks to our modern fleet and dedicated crew committed to making every flight memorable and enjoyable.”

Also commenting on Wizz Air’s new service from Radom Airport, Polish Airports S.A.’s President of the Management Board, Stanisław Wojtera, said,

“I am very happy with Wizz Air's decision. This is fantastic news not only for Radom Airport, but also for our passengers. I am convinced that the connection of our airline partner will become popular, allowing us to dynamically grow our passenger base. Within a short period of time since its opening, we have beaten the total result from several years of operation of the old port. This is a proof that the Radom Airport has already achieved success and has permanently entered the aviation map of Poland.”
