From June 2022, Wizz Air will offer service from Rome, Bari and Naples to the Greek Island of Skiathos. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will also launch new service between Abu Dhabi and Mattala, Sri Lanka starting June 1st, 2022.
On Wednesday (March 9, 2022), Wizz Air announced the launch of new service to the Greek Island of Skiathos, with flights starting in June and July from Rome, Bari and Naples. Starting June 9th the carrier will offer twice weekly service between Rome Fiumicino and Skiathos with flights on Thursdays and Sundays. From July 4th, Wizz will launch two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays from Naples International Airport to Skiathos, and beginning July 7th, the airline will also over two weekly flights from Bari Karol Wojtyla Airport and Skiathos on Thursdays and Sundays. To celebrate the new services, Wizz is offering one-way fares from only €24.99.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Wizz Air’s Manager of Corporate Communications, Paulina Gosk, said,

In a separate announcment on Wednesday (March 9, 2022), Wizz Air Abu Dhabi announced the launch of new service between Abu Dhabi and Mattala, Sri Lanka starting June 1st, 2022, with three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The new service to Mattala marks the airline’s first route to a destination in South Asia.
