Wizz Air Announces Five New Routes From Poland, New Service Between Tel Aviv and Mykonos

Wizz Air has announced five new summer holiday routes from three polish airports with service to Crete, Santorini, Split, Thessaloniki and Preveza-Aktion. The carrier is also launching service between Tel Aviv and Mykonos from June 11, 2021.

On Thursday (March 18, 2021), Wizz Air announced the launch of five new routes from Poland for summer 2021. From Gdansk, the airline will offer service to Crete (Heraklion) and Santorini, while customers flying from Kraków will enjoy new service to Split in Croatia. Wizz Air guests departing Warsaw Chopin Airport will be offered flights to Thessaloniki and Preveza-Aktion, the carrier’s newest station. Tickets on the new routes are now available for booking on the airline’s website. In Thursday’s announcement, Wizz Air’s Corporate Communications Manager, Paulina Gosk, said,


“Today we are pleased to emphasize our strong commitment to Poland by announcing another five new routes from Warsaw, Gdansk and Krakow to attractive summer destinations in Greece and Croatia. With today’s announcement we are bringing to Polish travelers more opportunities to enjoy long-awaited holidays this summer. Thanks to Wizz Air’s enhanced health measures onboard, passengers can enjoy travel while feeling safe and comfortable.”


Separately, Wizz Air announced on Thursday (March 18, 2021), the launch of twice-weekly service between Tel Aviv and Mykonos starting June 11, 2021. Speaking on the new route launch, Paulina Gosk stated,

“We have made the decision to expand our summer operations to Greece, by adding yet another picturesque destination for an Israeli tourist, Mykonos. With breathtaking beaches, boutique shopping and some of the best Greek restaurants and bars, Mykonos is one of Europe’s hottest islands. We are thrilled to have secured this destination for Israeli tourists and we see this as an opportunity for them to explore Cyclades as a form of long-awaited holiday. Our passengers can be assured that they are traveling with an airline that has led the industry with enhanced health and safety measures. We are delighted to offer flexibility to our passengers and provide options which guarantee that changes to the travel plan that can be easily and quickly made any time, even up to three hours prior to the flight.”
