WestJet to Add Direct Service Between Kelowna and Toronto for the Winter 2023/24 Season

Starting November 5, 2023, WestJet will launch nonstop service between Kelowna and Toronto. The route will operate twice weekly, departing Kelowna on Mondays and Fridays, and taking off from Toronto on Sundays and Thursdays.

On Wednesday (August 16, 2023), WestJet announced the launch of new nonstop service between Kelowna and Toronto for the winter 2023/24 season. Starting November 5, 2023, the route will operate twice weekly, with departures from Kelowna on Mondays and Fridays, and Toronto-Kelowna flights on Sundays and Thursdays. The new route reaffirms WestJet’s commitment to providing connectivity from Eastern to Western Canada, and marks the carrier’s ninth nonstop route from Kelowna and 40th nonstop route from Toronto for the upcoming winter season.

In Wednesday’s announcement, WestJet’s Director – Network Planning and Alliances, Jane McCurdy, said,


“WestJet is pleased to offer enhanced connectivity between Kelowna and Toronto now on this winter which will provide a convenient and affordable travel option for our guests travelling between these two cities for business or leisure. The addition of this new route to our winter schedule, is a further continuation of our growth strategy’s focus on providing non-stop service connecting eastern and Western Canada twelve months of the year.”

In 27 years of service, WestJet has cut airfares for Canadians in half and increased the flying population around Canada by over 50 percent. The airline launched in 1996 with three aircraft, 250 employees and five destinations, and has now grown to more than 180 aircraft and 14,000 employees, offering service to over 110 destinations in 24 countries.
