WestJet Announces Expansion of Codeshare Partnership with SAS

WestJet has announced an expansion of their codeshare partnership with SAS, which will provide guests on both sides of the Atlantic enhanced connectivity across Canada and Scandinavia.

On Tuesday (March 24, 2026), WestJet announced an expansion of their codeshare partnership with SAS for the second time in three months, providing guests on both sides of the Atlantic with more seamless travel options to explore all of Scandinavia and Canada this summer. WestJet guests can now book travel to now book travel to Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland via the carrier’s direct service between Halifax and Copenhagen. Customers traveling on a codeshared itinerary will enjoy the convenience of a single ticket, baggage transfers and the ability to earn WestJet Rewards throughout. Stockholm, Sweden. With the expanded codeshare partnership Canadian travelers now have seamless one-stop connections via Copenhagen to Goteborg (Sweden), Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim (Norway), Aalborg, Denmark and Helsinki, Finland.
In Tuesday’s announcement, WestJet Group’s EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, John Weatherill, said,

Whether they are travelling for business or leisure, adding new codeshare connections with our five-star APEX awarded partner, SAS, via our all-new service between Halifax and Copenhagen provides even more choice for Europeans and Canadians alike.”
Additionally, SAS has placed their SK code on WestJet’s seasonal nonstop service between Halifax and Copenhagen, allowing guests across Scandinavia and throughout SAS’ comprehensive network to seamlessly connect to Halifax and Atlantic Canada. WestJet’s service between Copenhagen and Halifax operates four times weekly during the summer months and complements WestJet’s ongoing codeshare connections to Scandinavia. Currently, the airline offers codeshare access beyond WestJet’s transatlantic flights between Calgary and Paris, and Calgary and London, as previously announced late last year.
