Following the success of their service from Marseille Provence Airport and Oran, Volotea will launch new weekly service from Marseille to Constantine, Algeria starting April 14, 2022. The carrier is Marseille’s second largest airline by destinations, with 20 connections on offer.
On Monday (April 11, 2022), Volotea announced the launch of once-weekly service between Marseille-Provence Airport and Constantine from April 14, 2022. This will become the airline’s second route to Algeria, following the successful launch of twice weekly service to Oran, which commenced on December 16, 2021. The Marseille-Oran route increased to three weekly flights on April 11th, and will further increase to daily weekday service from April 18, 2022. In terms of destinations served, Volotea is the second largest airline at Marseille-Provence Airport with over 20 routes on offer to France, Spain, Italy Greece, Croatia and Algeria.
In Monday’s announcement, Volotea’s International Development Manager, Céline Lacroix, said,
"We are very pleased to announce the launch of a second Algerian destination from Marseille-Provence airport, which is a very important base for Volotea. This new route to Constantine is in addition to the Marseille - Oran route. These two routes illustrate our ambition to develop on the French market. More than 10,000 passengers have chosen to travel with us between Marseille and Oran since its launch, proving the need for the route and the response we provide to travellers from Marseille, as well as from Algeria.”
