On Wednesday (January 19, 2022), Virgin Atlantic announced the resumption of service between London Heathrow and Tobago starting January 29, 2022. The route will be serviced with an Airbus A330-300 featuring Upper Class, Premium and Economy cabins, including Economy, Delight, Classic and Light ticket options. Tobago’s warm climate provides an ideal escape for Brits in need of some well-deserved winter sun. The popular Caribbean destination features a vibrant party scene, the world’s largest protected rainforest, and the famous Nylon Pool, a swimming pool in the middle of the ocean, which is located off Pigeon Point and accessible by boat.

In Wednesday’s route announcement, Virgin Atlantic’s Chief Commercial Officer, Juha Jarvinen, said,

“We are thrilled to be able to restart our much-loved services between London Heathrow and Tobago. With delicious food, amazing music and stunning views, we know our customers will love exploring this unique island destination. The Caribbean is the linchpin of Virgin Atlantic’s leisure portfolio and we’ve recently introduced a number of new destinations to our flying programme, including The Bahamas, St Lucia and St Vincent and The Grenadines. We can’t wait to fly our customers safely to our amazing Caribbean destinations throughout 2022.”

The flexible policy allows customers booking a new holiday or flight to make as many changes as necessary to dates, as well as origin or destination without change fees. The generous booking policy even allows up to one free ticket name change. Additionally, the ‘rebooking horizon’, the by which rescheduled travel can be completed, has been extended for all new and existing bookings until December 31, 2023.
