Vietjet Launches Six New Routes, Following Announcement of Service Between Can Tho and Seoul

Rapidly growing Vietjet announced six additional new routes this week after recently launching Can Tho to Seoul service. The new service includes five new routes between Vietnam and Japan, as well as new service between Da Lat and Seoul.

Early last week, Vietjet announced new service to five destinations in Japan including service between Hanoi, HMC and Da Nang to Nagoya (Chubu Centrair International Airport) and Hanoi to Fukuoka and Kagoshima. The new service will begin in 2020 and increase the total number of direct routes from Hanoi, HMC, Da Nang to Japan to ten including existing service to Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Kagoshima.


In a separate announcement on Thursday, Vietjet celebrated the launch of inaugural service between Da Lat in Vietnam’s Central Highlands to Seoul, South Korea. The route will operate four times weekly, departing Da Lat at 5:10PM and arriving in Seoul at 11:55PM. The return flight takes off from Seoul-Incheon at 2:30AM and arrives in Da Lat at 5:50AM (all times are local). In Thursday’s announcement, Vietjet’s Vice President, Nguyen Thanh Son said,


“We are very excited to constantly launch new direct routes connecting Vietnam and South Korea and proud with our expanding flight network between the two countries since first operation in 2014. The new routes linking Da Lat and Can Tho with Seoul (Incheon) commencing respectively on January 15 and 16 will bring new journey for locals in the Central Highlands and Mekong Delta of Vietnam to visit the famous destination and big transport hubs of Asia. In return, travelers from Korea can have more options to explore the romantic city of Da Lat and the prosperous river region in Can Tho, those among the top favorite destinations in Vietnam. We hope to bring our passengers more exciting experiences on our world’s most modern fleet with good records for safety, technical reliability, served by dedicated, friendly cabin crews, with highly convenient travel options at suitable times and affordable tickets.”


With the addition of Service between Can Tho and Da Lat to Seoul-Incheon, Vietjet now offers 11 direct routes to South Korea, with 480 monthly flights.
