On Thursday (August 11, 2022), United Airlines announced the launch of ‘United for Business Blueprint’, a new dedicated platform that will allow corporate customers to fully customize and manage business travel program contracts. This could also include higher status in United’s loyalty programs including United Corporate Preferred, the carrier’s loyalty program for corporate customers, options to make working while traveling easier, reserving more spacious Economy Plus® seats and Wi-Fi access, as well as incentives like discount leisure travel for employees. The United for Business Blueprint platform will launch in late 2022 with a dedicated website.

In Thursday’s announcement, United Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Doreen Burse, said,

“The needs of our customers are changing, and it’s the right time to move beyond the one-size-fits-all contracting model that has become standard across the industry. United has a best-in-class suite of benefits and services and our customers deserve the opportunity to take advantage of the offerings they value most. The voice of our customers played an essential role in how this new platform was built, and will continue to shape how it evolves in the future.”

With United for Business Blueprint, customers will now be able to work with a United sales representative to choose from the airline’s extensive product offerings to customize a program that best suits their business travel needs. Options will also be customizable down to individual flights, travelers and destinations. The new dedicated website for the platform will make it easier for companies who book travel on United.com or via the United app to enroll in and manage their travel program. Customers will also be able to easily rebook or exchange travel, view and use future flight credits, and view reports on travel activity, with the option to filter by date, origin, destination and more. United will preview the program at this year’s Global Travel Business Association (GBTA) Convention in San Diego on August 14, 2022 at GBTA Booth 2325.

United Airlines’ shared purpose is “Connecting People. Uniting the World.” In 2019, United and United Express® carriers operated over 1.7 million flights carrying over 162 million guests. United Airlines operates the most comprehensive network among North American carriers with mainland U.S. hubs in Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Shares in the company’s parent, United Airlines Holdings, Inc., are publicly traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol ‘UAL.’
