United Airlines has named Laysha Ward to their Board of Directors. Ms. Ward currently serves as Target Corporation’s Executive Vice President and Chief External Engagement Officer.

On Wednesday (February 23, 2021), United Airlines announced the appointment of Laysha Ward to the company’s Board of Directors. Ms. Ward is currently Target Corporation’s Executive Vice President and Chief External Engagement Officer, and brings over three decades of corporate leadership experience to UAL’s Board.
In addition to her role at Target, Ward serves on the Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Advisory Board, the Stanford Center for Longevity Advisory Council, and is a member of the Executive Leadership Council, the Economic Clubs of New York and Chicago, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and The Links. Ms. Ward also serves on the Denny’s Corporation Board, as well as the Boards of Greater MSP, the Minnesota Orchestra, and the Northside Achievement Zone.
Commenting on the new board appointment, United Airlines’ CEO, Scott Kirby, said,
“Laysha and her credentials are the right addition to our already strong board of directors at a pivotal moment for our company. United Airlines’ Executive Chairman, Oscar Munoz, added,

Also commenting on her new appointment to United’s Board, Laysha Ward said,
