United Airlines has today announced the appointment of Rosalind Brewer to their Board of Directors. Ms. Brewer most recently served as President and CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc.
On Wednesday (February 28, 2024), United Airlines Holdings, Inc. announced the appointment of Rosalind (Roz) Brewer to the company’s Board of Directors. Ms. Brewer most recently served as President and CEO, of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc, an international retail pharmacy and healthcare company. Previously, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Starbucks Corporation, and also as President and CEO of Sam’s Club, a Walmart division.
In Wednesday’s announcement, United Airlines’ CEO, Scott Kirby, said,
“Roz’s strategic acumen and visionary leadership make her the right addition to our already strong Board of Directors as we plan for the long-term success of United Airlines. Her vast leadership experience characterized by innovation and digital transformation have made a lasting impact on some of the world's leading companies and will be an asset to United.”
Also commenting on the new Board appointment, United Holdings’ Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ted Philip, said,
“Roz has led some of the most dynamic and well-regarded companies in the world, and I am eager for her to help United excel in our plan to grow United to become the best airline in aviation history.”
United’s newest Board Member, Rosalind Brewer, added,

Rosalind Brewer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Spelman College and continues to support her alma mater as Chair Emirita. She is also actively involved in various philanthropic endeavors, supporting causes related to education, healthcare and economic empowerment.
