TUI Airline has today announced the appointment of Peter Glade as the carrier’s new Chief Commercial Officer. Last week, the TUI Group announced their path for the transformation of the Markets + Airline Business, with the goal of unlocking new revenue potential.
On Monday (September 30, 2024), TUI Group announced the appointment of Peter Glade as TUI Airline’s new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), a new role to the Board. Mr. Glade will join TUI on November 1st, 2024, from SunExpress, where he has served as CCO for over eight years. With a background in consulting, he also played a pivotal role in the strategic realignment of Austrian Airlines as Vice President of Partner Management & Strategy. Additionally, Glade spent eight years driving sales and market development for Star Alliance.
In Monday’s announcement, TUI Airline’s CEO, Marco Ciomperlik, said,

Last week, TUI Group announced their path for the transformation of the Markets + Airline business, which includes the enlargement of TUI Airline. The focus of the company’s growth journey will be to take advantage of commercial opportunities, while aligning operations with the needs of regions to deliver added value for the Group.
TUI Airline operates a fleet of over 130 modern aircraft, ranging from short and medium-haul aircraft such as the Embraer E195-E2, Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-8 MAX jets, to long-haul Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. TUI employs more than 8,000 team members across five airlines in the UK, the Nordics, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.
