Lufthansa Group’s Chief Financial Officer, Remco Steenbergen has been named to SWISS’s Board of Directors. Mr. Steenbergen succeeds Detlef Kayser, who has relinquished his seat on the SWISS Board.
On Thursday (July 15, 2021), Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) announced the election of Remco Steenbergen, Chief Financial Officer of the Lufthansa Group, to the SWISS Board. Mr. Steenbergen, who has been a member of the Deutsche Lufthansa AG Board and Chief Financial Officer of the Group since the beginning of this year, succeeds Detlef Kayser, who has relinquished his SWISS Board seat. The company’s Board now includes Reto Francioni (Chairman), Christina Foerster, Doris Russi Schurter, André Blattmann and Remco Steenbergen.
In today’s announcement, SWISS’s Board Chairman, Reto Francioni, said,

Prior to joining the Lufthansa Group, Remco Steenbergen served as the Group Chief Financial Officer for the chocolate manufacturer Barry Callebaut AG. He has also held various positions at the Dutch electronics manufacturer Philips, eventually becoming the company’s EVP and Chief Financial Officer – HealthTech Businesses, Innovation and Group functions. Mr. Steenbergen began his professional career with KPMG, serving in Amsterdam, London and Taipei. He is a native of the Netherlands and is the married father of three children.
