Sun Country Airlines Adds 11 New Nonstop Flights From Minneapolis, Extends Schedule Through 2022

Sun Country Airlines is launching 11 new nonstop routes from Minneapolis-St. Paul and will welcome seven new airports to their network by spring 2022. New MSP service includes flights to Buffalo, Burlington, Charleston, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, Spokane and Vancouver.


On Tuesday (October 19, 2021), Sun Country airlines announced the launch of 11 new routes from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and the addition of seven new airports to their network by spring 2022. The airline will continue to offer nonstop service from MSP to New Orleans (MSY), Asheville (AVL), Savannah/Hilton Head (SAV) and Milwaukee (MKE), while adding new service to Buffalo (BUF), Burlington (BTV), Charleston (CHS), Jacksonville (JAX), Pittsburgh (PIT), Spokane (GEG) and Vancouver (YVR). Additionally, Sun Country has extended their current schedule through September 2022, with service to over 70 exciting vacation destinations.


In Tuesday’s announcement, Sun Country Airlines’ Chief Revenue Officer, Grant Whitney, said,


“We’re excited to offer travelers affordable access to exciting new destinations including some of the most beautiful coastal towns on the East Coast, the Great Lakes, and Canada. We look forward to welcoming guests onboard to enjoy our many amenities like free inflight entertainment, complimentary nonalcoholic beverage service, and comfortable reclining seats with in-seat power on their way to their next great vacation.”


Also commenting on the airline’s MSP expansion, Metropolitan Airports Commission’s CEO, Brian Ryks, said,


“It is great to see Sun Country continue to grow its service to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. These seven new and four returning routes provide great get-away options once the coming winter’s snow melts and people become eager to get out and travel again.”


With today’s network expansion, Sun Country will operate over 100 routes to 80 airports in the U.S., Mexico, Central America, Canada and the Caribbean.
