On Wednesday (December 14, 2022) Star Alliance announced the opening of their lounge at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport (FCO) for pay-per-use-guests. Customers can now enjoy access for €45 for a three-hour period. A discount is also available for members of any Star Alliance airline frequent flyer program. The lounge at FCO becomes the fourth of six Star Alliance lounges now open to all Star Alliance passengers, regardless of status or cabin class, joining the lounges in Rio de Janeiro (GIG), Buenos Aires (EZE) and Los Angeles (LAX).

In Wednesday’s announcement, Star Alliance’s Vice President of Customer Experience, Christian Draeger, said,

“Whether you’re leaving Rome after business meetings, or after visits to the Colosseum, the Sistine Chapel and Trevi Fountain, there’s no better way to relax than a trip to our stylish Star Alliance lounge at the airport. We’re excited to make this experience accessible to even more passengers, by opening up paid access to our lounge at Fiumicino Airport. Pre-booking of lounge access vouchers is also easy, with our simple, online process.”

The Star Alliance lounge at Rome Fiumicino Airport is located in the Intra-Schengen zone in Terminal 3. The tastefully appointed lounge can accommodate 130 guests and features Italian designer furniture and art, while offering a view of the runway. Visitors will also enjoy Italian culinary delights and a 24/7 bar serving aromatic Italian coffee and other beverages. The lounge also offers high speed Wi-Fi and is well-equipped to cater to both leisure and business guests. Passengers can pre-book and purchase lounge access vouchers by clicking here. Subject to availability, customers will receive a confirmation e-mail with a QR code valid for the day and time selected. Once at the airport, they simply scan the QR code at the lounge entrance and walk in.
