Spirit Airlines to Launch New Service from Fort Lauderdale to Belize City and Grand Cayman

Spirit Airlines has today announced the upcoming launch of new service from Fort Lauderdale to both Belize City and Grand Cayman. Belize and Grand Cayman flights will operate three times weekly from November 21, 2025 and December 4, 2025, respectively.

On Tuesday (August 5, 2025), Spirit Airlines announced the launch of new exclusive service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in Florida to Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City, Belize. Starting November 21, 2025, the route will operate three times weekly on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. Celebrating the new route launch, one-way fares from FLL to BZE are bookable from $85, and one-way fares from BZE to FLL starting at $180 (T&Cs apply). Belize City will be Spirit’s sixth new destination for 2025, and the latest nonstop addition to the airline's growing Fort Lauderdale route map.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Spirit Airlines’ VP – Network Planning, John Kirby, said,
“With its world-class water excursions and beautiful landscapes, Belize is an incredible addition to our international service and growing Fort Lauderdale route map. We’re looking forward to offering our Belize Guests an elevated travel experience on their journey to the United States and giving our Fort Lauderdale Guests even more destinations to explore as we double down on our FLL service.”
In a separate press release on Tuesday (August 5, 2025), Spirit Airlines further announced the launch of exclusive new service between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM) in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Starting December 4, 2025, the route will operate three times weekly on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Speaking on the addition of new service between Fort Lauderdale and Grand Cayman, Spirit Airlines’ VP – Network Planning, John Kirby, added,
“Grand Cayman is a dream destination, and we look forward to offering our Guests new, affordable travel options to reach this island paradise. This is a win for travelers across our network, who are gaining more access to top destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America as we continue to expand service from Fort Lauderdale.”
Guests traveling between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Grand Cayman (GCM) can take advantage of special introductory one-way fares starting at just $66 (T&Cs apply).
Spirit Airlines’ guests traveling from Fort Lauderdale to Belize City or Grand Cayman can chose from three travel options, including Spirt First, Premium Economy and Value.
