Spirit Airlines Launches New Nonstop Albuquerque Service With ‘Spiritaneous’ Giveaway

Spirit Airlines has today announced the launch of new nonstop service to and from Albuquerque, including daily service to Las Vegas and over a dozen other connections across the U.S. To celebrate, the carrier is offering a Las Vegas trip package giveaway.

On Wednesday (August 3, 2022), Spirit Airlines launched new service to and from Albuquerque (ABQ), New Mexico. The new routes include daily nonstop flights to Las Vegas (LAS) and more that a dozen additional connections across the U.S. Celebrating the new service at Albuquerque’s Sunport, Spirit hosted a ‘Spiritaneous’ giveaway, where one lucky traveler won a spontaneous trip, including tickets on the carrier’s inaugural flight to Las Vegas, a $400 gift card to the Miracle Mile Shops, and a three-night stay at the Luxor Hotel and Casino. Additionally, Spirit is hosting a Las Vegas Flyaway for Albuquerque Guests, where another lucky winner will receive a pair of roundtrip tickets to Las Vegas (including bags, seat selection and Shortcut Boarding, as well as a three night stay at Treasure Island and a pair of tickets to Mystère by Cirque du Soleil. In Wednesday’s announcment, Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Network Planning, John Kirby, said,

Also commenting on the new service between Albuquerque and Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s Vice President of Marketing, H. Fletch Brunelle, added,

The addition of these new flights is extremely exciting as we welcome visitors to explore all that's new in the sports and entertainment capital of the world. Las Vegas (LAS) is one of Spirit’s largest airport operations with around 70 daily flights. The new service to Albuquerque also provides seamless one-stop connections via Sunport to over a dozen cities across Spirit’s extensive route network. This year, as measured by departing seats, Spirit is the second largest carrier at Las Vegas.
