SAS is adding daily flights to New York from Stockholm and four weekly flights from Oslo, in addition to existing daily service between Copenhagen and New York. In total, the carrier will offer service on 12 direct routes to the U.S. for fall 2021 and winter 2021/22.
On Monday (September 27, 2021), SAS announced an increase in service between Scandinavia and the U.S. for fall 2021 and winter 2021/22. In addition to existing daily service from Copenhagen to New York, the carrier will add daily service to New York from Stockholm as well as four weekly flights from Oslo. In total, SAS will offer service on 12 direct routes to the U.S. for fall and winter.
In Monday’s announcement, SAS’ Chief Commercial Officer, Karl Sandlund, said,
“SAS is very pleased to be able to increase our operation to New York from Scandinavia. Many people are looking forward to visiting family and friends in the United States and the New York routes are also important for both business travel and air cargo.”
Customers can book travel with confidence as SAS has introduced more flexible rebooking options. The airline also continues to take delivery of new fuel-efficient aircraft and is building one of Europe’s most modern fleets. SAS’ newly delivered aircraft deliver a fuel reduction of between 15 and 30 percent, compared to the aircraft they replace.
