SAS announced on Monday a new route from Stockholm to Warsaw which will commence May 1st, 2020. The flight will operate twice daily on weekdays and once on Sundays and will complement the carrier’s existing service from Copenhagen to Warsaw.
Today, SAS announced the opening of a new route between Stockholm-Arlanda and Warsaw commencing May 1st, 2020 The new service will operate twice daily on weekdays and once on Sundays. The weekday service has been timed to accommodate business travelers and the new route complements SAS’ existing Copenhagen to Warsaw service. In Monday’s announcement, SAS’ Executive Vice President - Commercial, Karl Sandlund said,
“We are delighted to be able to offer an additional route with an attractive timetable connecting Warsaw with Scandinavia directly from Arlanda. The links between the two regions are strong, and we are happy to be able to increase our offering to the large number of business travelers.”
Ticket sales for the new route are available starting February 3, 2020 for travel commencing May 1st, 2020. SAS' guests can voluntarily choose to purchase biofuel to help reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80%.
SAS is the leading airline in Scandinavia operating more than 800 daily flights to 125 destinations in Europe, the US and Asia with a fleet of over 150 aircraft. The company has targeted a reduction in carbon emissions by 25% by 2030 compared to 2005 and hopes to transition to 100% biofuel for domestic flights by 2030 as well.
