SAS has today announced an expansion of their codeshare agreement with Vietnam Airlines with the addition of new routes.

On Friday (November 21, 2025), SAS announced the expansion of their codeshare agreement with Vietnam Airlines. The expanded partnership introduces direct connections between Copenhagen and Ho Chi Minh City, together with onward destinations across Vietnam and Scandinavia. This coincides with Vietnam Airlines’ inaugural flight between Copenhagen (CPH) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), which will take place on December 15, 2025, marking a new chapter in the airlines’ collaboration first established in 2024.
In Friday’s announcement, SAS’ EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Verhagen, said,
“This expansion marks an important milestone in our partnership with Vietnam Airlines. By adding direct connectivity between Copenhagen and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as new onward destinations across Vietnam and Scandinavia, we are offering our customers more choice, flexibility, and convenience than ever before. Together, SAS and Vietnam Airlines are committed to delivering seamless travel experiences and enhanced benefits for our frequent flyers.”
With the expanded codeshare agreement, SAS customers can book Vietnam Airlines’ direct CPH–SGN flights under the SAS code, as well as onward connections to Hanoi (HAN), Da Nang (DAD), Phu Quoc (PQC), Da Lat (DLI), and Hue (HUI). Vietnam Airlines will also place their marketing code on SAS-operated flights beyond Copenhagen, including domestic routes to Aarhus (AAR), Aalborg (AAL), and Billund (BLL), and intra-Scandinavian services to Stockholm, Oslo, Gothenburg, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, and Helsinki.
Customers traveling on codeshare flights will continue to enjoy the benefits of both airlines’ frequent flyer programs, SAS EuroBonus and Vietnam Airlines’ LotusMiles, including the ability to earn and redeem points across the expanded network.
Founded in 1946, SAS is the leading airline in Scandinavia, with main hubs in Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm, and flying to 135 destinations across Europe, the U.S. and Asia. The company aims to be a driving force in sustainable aviation and in the transition towards net zero emissions by 2050. SAS also offers ground handling services, technical maintenance and air cargo services. SAS officially joined the global SkyTeam airline alliance in September 2024, and together with their partner airlines offers a wide network worldwide. On July 4, 2025, the Air France-KLM Group announced their intention to take a majority ownership stake in SAS, further expanding one of Europe’s leading aviation groups.
