Qatar Airways to Launch Service to Almaty in Kazakhstan From November 19, 2021

Qatar Airways is launching new scheduled service between Doha and Almaty in Kazakhstan starting November 19, 2021. The route will be operated twice weekly on Fridays and Mondays with an Airbus A320 featuring 12 Business and 132 Economy Class seats.


On Thursday (September 23, 2021), Qatar Airways announced the launch of new scheduled passenger service between Doha (DOH) and Almaty (ALA) in Kazakhstan from November 19, 2021. Kazakhstan is an economic powerhouse in Central Asia and is also an adventurer’s paradise with stunning landscapes that range from snow-capped mountains to expansive deserts, rocky canyons, coniferous forests and pristine river deltas. Visitors will also enjoy historical landmarks, including the bright yellow towers of the famous Zenkov Cathedral in Almaty. The route will be operated twice weekly on Fridays and Mondays and serviced with an Airbus A320 featuring 12 Business Class and 132 Economy Class seats.

In Thursday’s announcement, Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said,


“We are proud to bring our award-winning services to Kazakhstan, adding this unique destination to our growing network. This new service reinforces the warm relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Kazakhstan, and reaffirms our commitment to further developing trade and tourism between our two great countries.”


Qatar Airways flight QR 391 departs Doha at 01:15 and arrives in Almaty at 08:35, while the return flight, QR 392, departs Almaty at 21:40 and arrives in Doha at 23:55 (all times local). Qatar Airways, the multi-award winning national carrier of the State of Qatar, continues to rebuild their network and currently offers service to over 140 global destinations. Customers can book travel with confidence, as the carrier is offering fee-free refunds for all tickets issued for travel completed by May 31, 2022.
