Qatar Airways Privilege Club Launches Hotel & Car Rewards in Partnership With Points

Qatar Airways Privilege Club has launched Hotels & Car Rewards, allowing members to use their Qmiles to book a stay at over 350,000 hotels or rent a car at over 20,000 locations worldwide. Members will also earn Qmiles on every cash travel booking they make.

On Wednesday (May 5, 2021) Qatar Airways Privilege Club announced the launch of Hotel & Car Awards in partnership with Points, allowing members to use Qmiles to book a stay at over 300,000 hotels or rent a car at more than 20,000 global locations. Additionally, Privilege Club members will earn Qmiles for every cash travel booking they make. The new Hotel & Car Rewards program will enable members to book 5-star hotels such as Sharq Village & Spa in Doha, InterContinental London Park in London or Le Royal Monceau in Paris, using all or part Qmiles, or rent a car with brands such as Avis, Budget or Sixt.


In Wednesday’s announcement, Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said,


“At Qatar Airways, we are continually striving to enhance Privilege Club and offer our members more value and opportunities to earn and spend Qmiles. We also want to make the experience of earning and spending Qmiles as seamless as when our loyalty members travel with us across the globe. Hotel & Car Rewards provides our members’ convenient ways to spend for hotel stays and car rentals using Qmiles or to use a combination of Qmiles with Cash. Hotel & Car Rewards is another example of Privilege Club's commitment to redefining and enhancing the experience for our loyalty members.”


Also commenting on the launch of Hotel & Car Rewards for Privilege Club members, Points CEO, Rob McLean, said,


“We are pleased to be expanding our partnership with Qatar Airways Privilege Club since implementing our first product integration just under a year ago and to be providing them with more ways than ever to connect with their members. Our research has shown us that enthusiasm for travel planning has not diminished over the past year. The recently improved Buy, Gift and Transfer offering and now Hotel & Car Rewards, will offer members additional value and convenience as they make their future travel plans for this year and beyond with Qatar Airways.”


Last year, Qatar Airways Privilege Club was one of the first loyalty programs to announce a tier extension of up to 12 months, and in early 2021, announced a further protection of tier status until December 31, 2021. Over the past year, Privilege Club continued investing in redefining the program by cutting the number of Qmiles required to book a flight by up to 49 percent and removing booking fees for award flights. Additionally, when a member earns or spends Qmiles, their balance will now be valid for a further 36 months.


When traveling to or from Hamad International Airport, Privilege Club members can enjoy the most luxurious lounges in the world. Platinum members can visit the extraordinary Al Safwa First Class Lounge with two guests when traveling in Business Class, and even enjoy the lounge when traveling in Economy Class. Privilege Club Gold members can unwind at the Mourjan Business Lounge with one guest and individual Silver members will also enjoy access. All Privilege Club members traveling on Business Class award flights can also enjoy the exceptional Al Mourjan Business Lounge facilities.


Qatar Airways Privilege Club Is the Official Frequent Flyer Program of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The loyalty program also recently won a Frequent Traveller award for ‘Best Rewards Program’ in the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania regions for 2020.
