Qatar Airways Expands U.S. Network With Over 100 Weekly Flights, Including Some Twice-Daily Services

Qatar Airways will expand their U.S. Network with over 100 weekly flights to 12 gateways including double-daily service to Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Washington DC. The carrier will also increase frequencies to eight other cities to 12 flights weekly.

On Wednesday (June 23, 2021), Qatar Airways announced an expansion of their U.S. network with over 100 weekly flights to 12 gateways, reinforcing their position as the leading international airline connecting the U.S. with Africa, Asia and the Middle East. T he carrier will offer twice-daily flights to Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Washington D.C., as well as 12 weekly flights to Boston, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle, which will grow to daily service soon. Through their partnerships with Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and JetBlue, Qatar Airways offers seamless onward U.S. connections to 230 U.S. destinations, more than any other global airline.


In Wednesday’s announcement, Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said,

Qatar Airways is the national carrier of the state of Qatar and from mid-summer 2021 will operate over 1,200 weekly flights to more than 140 destinations, providing more flexible travel options to more global destinations than any other airline. Qatar Airways was named the ‘World’s Best Airline’ in the 2019 World Airline Awards managed by Skytrax as well as the ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’ and ‘World’s Best Business Class.’ The carrier has also been awarded the title for ‘Best Business Class Seat’ in recognition of their ground-breaking Qsuite product which offers a spacious 1-2-1 seat layout and is available on flights to more than 40 destinations including Johannesburg, Frankfurt, New York and Singapore.


Additionally, Qatar Airways is the only carrier to have ever received the prestigious “Skytrax Airline of the Year” title five times. The airline normally serves over 170 global destinations with a fleet of more than 250 modern aircraft. Qatar Airways’ primary hub is located at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar.
