Porter Airlines is launching daily service to five Florida destinations from Fall 2023, including flights from Toronto to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Miami and Orlando, as well as from Ottawa to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.
On Thursday (August 24, 2023), Porter Airlines announced the launch of new daily service to five Florida gateways from Fall 2023. The carrier will offer service from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Fort Myers (RSW), Miami (MIA) and Orlando (MCO), as well as from Ottawa International Airport (YOW) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Orlando (MCO). Canadians represent the largest international group of travelers to Florida, and when flying with Porter will be met with genuine hospitality and an elevated flight experience.
In Thursday’s announcement, Porter Airlines’ EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, Kevin Jackson, said,
“Canadians are used to flying to Florida, but not like this. Porter’s all-economy onboard service is unmatched by any other carrier in North America. Whether that’s free Wi-Fi, no middle seats, free beer and wine alongside premium snacks, or fresh, healthy food, Porter is challenging the industry’s definition of economy air travel. We believe that time onboard our aircraft is just as important as at the destination.”
Also commenting on Porter’s new Florida services, Visit Florida’s CEO, Dana Young, added,
“We are excited to welcome Porter Airlines to Florida. Our Canadian visitors will be able to take advantage of these direct flights to 5 different destinations throughout the state and experience our beautiful beaches, miles of nature trails and endless opportunities for fun in the sun.”
Porter Airlines’ elevated guest experience includes complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, and free premium snacks for all guests. Free Wi-Fi is also available on Porter’s Embraer E195-E2 fleet. Additionally, customers can enjoy fresh, healthy meals, pre-mixed cocktails and more snack options on longer flights, either as part of PorterReserve all-inclusive fares, or á la carte with PorterClassic fares.
