Porter Airlines celebrated their inaugural flight from Toronto Pearson and Tampa, Florida on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023. The nonstop route will operate daily with a state-of-the-art 132-seat Embraer E195-E2.
On Wednesday (November 1st, 2023), Porter Airlines announced the launch of new daily nonstop service between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Tampa International Airport (TPA). This is the first U.S. route to be operated with a state-of-the-art Embraer E195-E2. The route will be serviced with a 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 featuring free fast Wi-Fi, a selection of premium snacks and free beer and wine served in glassware. Customers booking all-inclusive PorterReserve fares will also enjoy priority check-in, extra legroom seats, premium pre-mixed cocktails, and fresh, healthy meals. These premium benefits can also be booked à la carte by customers booking PorterClassic fares.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Porter Airlines’ EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, Kevin Jackson, said,

Also commenting on Porter’s new Tampa service, Tampa International Airport’s CEO, Joe Lopano said,

The Embraer E-Jets E-2 Family is the most environmentally friendly aircraft in its class, offering reduced emissions and a 65 percent reduction in noise footprint compared to previous generation aircraft.
Tampa is the first of five destinations and seven routes across Florida that Porter is starting this fall, including service from Toronto Pearson to Fort Myers (RSW), Orlando (MCO), Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Miami (MIA). The carrier is also launching new service from Ottawa International Airport (YOW) to Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
