Starting June 22, 2026, Porter Airlines will launch new daily nonstop service between Hamilton and Ottawa. The route will be operated with a 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft.

On Wednesday (March 25, 2026), Porter Airlines announced the launch of new double daily service between John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHN) and Ottawa International Airport (YOW) starting June 22, 2026. The route will be operated with a 78-seat De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 aircraft. Inbound customers to Ottawa will also enjoy seamless one-stop connections to 11 additional Porter network destinations. This follows the recent announcement of 14x weekly service between the new Montreal Metropolitan Airport (MET) and Hamilton. Porter now serves 12 year-round and seasonal destinations from YHM, spanning across Canada, Florida and Mexico.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Porter Airlines’ VP – Network Planning and Reporting, Andrew Pierce, said,
“This new route gives passengers more options and greater convenience. Hamilton travellers can now fly seamlessly to Ottawa and easily connect to destinations across Atlantic Canada and the U.S. East Coast, including Boston and New York. At the same time, Ottawa passengers gain direct access to Hamilton, the gateway to Niagara region wineries, 100-plus waterfalls and a vibrant culinary scene - there’s lots to explore for every type of visitor.”
