Peach Expands Network From Tokyo Narita to 11 Domestic Routes With New Service to Memanbetsu

The carrier launched daily roundtrip service between Tokyo-Narita and Memanbetsu, expanding their network from Narita to 11 domestic routes. The new route marks the first time LCC service has been offered at Memanbetsu Airport.

On Wednesday (February 10, 2021), Peach Aviation Limited announced the launch of new daily service between Tokyo-Narita and Memanbetsu, expanding their network from Narita to 11 routes. The new route marks the first time LCC service has operated at Memanbetsu Airport and increases the carrier’s service to Hokkaido to nine domestic routes. In total, Peach’s domestic network has now been expanded to 31 routes. The Memanbetsu route will be serviced with an Airbus A320 configured with 180 seats. In Wednesday’s announcement, Peach Aviation Limited’s CEO, Takeaki Mori, said,


“Our service between Tokyo (Narita) and Memanbetsu was launched today. Just like Kushiro Airport, this is also the first LCC service to Memanbetsu Airport. The eastern regions of Hokkaido will become more accessible through Peach’s efforts. Also, travel options from Narita Airport to eastern Hokkaido are now more varied with links to three airports, namely New Chitose, Kushiro, and Memanbetsu. Peach will continue to expand its domestic network while giving priority to infection countermeasures, as it provides easy travel at low fares to those who need transportation under these circumstances, to fulfill our role as a public transportation provider.”

Peach Aviation Limited (Peach) commenced operations out of Osaka-Kansai in March 2012 and currently operates 31 domestic and 17 international routes with a fleet of 35 aircraft. In addition to their base at Osaka (Kansai Airport), the carrier maintains bases at Sapporo (New Chitose Airport), Sendai Airport, Tokyo (Narita Airport), Fukuoka Airport and Naha Airport. Peach launched service between Tokyo-Narita and Memanbetsu on February 10th and plans on launching Narita-Oita service on February 19, 2021. The airline hopes to become the leading low-cost carrier (LCC) in Asia with plans to expand their network from the Tokyo metro area and Osaka-Kansai.
