oneworld announces three New Key Leadership Team Appointments

The oneworld alliance has announced the strengthening of their global leadership team with three key appointments.  Stephan Nagel has been names VP of Global Partnerships, Chris Kelly Singley, VP Communications & Marketing, and Guido van Til, VP – Digital.

On Saturday (May 31, 2025), the oneworld alliance announced the appointment of three new senior leadership team members.  Stephan Nagel has been named Vice President – Global Partnerships.  Mr. Nagel is a highly recognized expert in the airline industry with a strong background in Global Alliances, Airline Partnerships, and Strategic Planning.  He brings over 25 years of aviation experience, having held high profile roles at Qatar Airways, Air Berlin, the Star Alliance, and Lufthansa.  In these roles, Nagel was instrumental in forging and nurturing comprehensive network strategies, business transformation and industry-leading strategic partnerships that have significantly expanded the global reach and operational efficiency of these airlines. 


Stephan Nagel has also serves on oneworld’s Management Board for 10 years.  In his new role, Mr. Nagel will be responsible for advancing strategic partnerships across the alliance, including member airlines and key technology and loyalty partners.


Next, Chris Kelly Singley has been appointed Vice President – Communications and Marketing.  Ms. Singley is a highly respected communications executive with deep experience in corporate reputation, stakeholder engagement and crisis management.  She brings over two decades of aviation and aerospace experience, having held senior roles at JetZero, Boeing, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines.  While at these companies, she led high profile campaigns and strategic initiatives across global media relations, employee engagement and CSR.  In her new role with oneworld, Singley will lead the alliance’s global communications and marketing strategies, shaping its narrative and amplifying its impact among customers, partners and stakeholders.


Finally, oneworld has also appointed Guido van Til as Vice President – Digital.  Mr. van Til is a transformational leader with a proven trach record across technology, customer experience, and digital innovation, and brings to oneworld over 25 years of experience in aviation and retail.  Most recently, he supported top global brands including Rituals and Dyson through their digital transformations.  Previously, he spent over 30 years with Air France-KLM, where he reshaped the Group’s digital strategy, drove platform convergence, and spearheaded product development across all digital touchpoints.  In his new role at oneworld, Guido von Tils will lead the alliance’s digital strategy and delivery, ensuring an integrated, customer-focused digital ecosystem. 


In Saturday’s announcement, oneworld’s CEO, Nat Pieper, said,

Since 1999, oneworld has grown to 14 members, including Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Fiji Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, and SriLankan Airlines, and more than 20 of their affiliates.  Top-tier oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members enjoy access to airport lounges and are offered priority check-in and boarding, extra baggage allowances and more.  The most frequent fliers, Emerald, can also use fast track security lanes at select airports.
