The airline has launched complimentary COVID-19 coverage for guests traveling between October 1, 2020 through March 31, 2021. Oman Air has also resumed twice-weekly flights between Muscat and both Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan.
On Sunday (October 4, 2020), Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, announced the launch of complimentary COVID-19 insurance coverage for eligible guests traveling between October 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021. The insurance, underwritten by Allianz Travel, covers COVID-19 related medical treatment as well as quarantine and repatriation expenses. Coverage started on October 1st, 2020, when Oman Air returned to scheduled service connecting Muscat with 18 cities in 12 countries. The complimentary insurance coverage is part of the carrier’s comprehensive efforts to ensure the health and safety of all guests throughout their journey. In a separate October 4th announcement, Oman Air announced the resumption of service between Muscat and Pakistan. The carrier will offer twice-weekly service to Islamabad on Sundays and Thursdays, as well as two weekly flights to Lahore which will operate on Sundays and Fridays. Guests planning to visit Muscat should review the necessary requirements of entering the Sultanate by visiting the Civil Aviation Authority website at paca.gov.om.

Today, Oman Air further announced the resumption of flights to India from October 8, 2020. The carrier will offer two weekly flights connecting Muscat with Delhi, Mumbai and Kochi. Delhi flights will operate on Mondays and Wednesdays, while service to Mumbai and Kochi will be offered on Sundays and Thursdays. The schedule will remain valid from October 8, 2020 through October 24, 2020.
Oman Air has implemented a comprehensive set of protocols throughout the travel journey to ensure their guests can fly with confidence. Facemasks will be required at Oman’s airports and onboard and social distancing will be maintained during boarding and deplaning. Oman Air’s aircraft are carefully cleaned after each flight and at the end of every day. The carrier’s crew have been outfitted with PPE and the onboard meal service has been modified to limit unnecessary contact. All guests departing Oman are encouraged to familiarize themselves with all pre-departure requirements as well as entry requirements at their destination.
