Oman Air Appoints New Country and Sales Managers for Bahrain and Sri Lanka

Oman Air has appointed two new female country and sales managers for Bahrain and Sri Lanka. Mrs. Madina Al Balushi has been appointed Country manager for Bahrain, while Ms. Najma Al Naamani will be the new Sales manager for Sri Lanka.


Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, announced the appointment of Mrs. Madina Al Balushi as Country Manager, Bahrain and Ms. Najma Al Naamani as Sales Manager, Sri Lanka. Both will represent Oman Air in the Kingdom of Bahrain and Republic of Sri Lanka after gaining wide experience in Commercial Division; these stations have been served by Oman Air since 16 and 11 years respectively. - Courtesy Oman Air

On Monday (February 8, 2021), Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, announced the appointment of two new female Country and Sales managers for Bahrain and Sri Lanka. Mrs. Madina Al Balushi has been appointed Country manager for Bahrain, while Ms. Najma Al Naamani has been appointed Sales manager for Sri Lanka. Mrs. Al Balushi and Ms. Al Naamani are both Omani nationals and have been entrusted to run the Sales function in the Oman Air outstation network, representing the future of Oman Air Management in encouraging Omani ladies to move into frontline revenue-generating roles. In Monday’s announcement, Oman Air’s Chief Executive officer, Abdulaziz Al Raisi, said,


“Oman Air is proud that it remains a leader in the Omanisation programme, and is recognised as one of the leading companies in the Sultanate offering women a safe and supportive work environment. Omani Women comprise a vital and increasing proportion of our workforce. They are represented at almost all levels in the company, furthermore they continue to make important contributions to the ongoing success of Oman Air. I would like to thank all the Oman Air women, who helped to ensure that Oman Air continues to be the airline of First Choice.”


Currently, women comprise over 32 percent of Oman Air’s workforce. The airline has instituted a proactive policy of recognizing talented and qualified women and providing the necessary support for them to excel in their careers. At Oman Air, women are well-represented across a variety of teams including engineering, airport management, airport services, marketing, customer services, cabin crew, flight operations, sales and communications.


Founded in 1993, Oman Air is the national flag carrier of the Sultanate of Oman and an official APEX 5-Star Airline. In the Gulf region, the carrier operates direct international flights from Muscat to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Medina and Kuwait. In the Middle East and Africa, the carrier offers service to Cairo, Amman, Casablanca, Tehran, Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam and Nairobi. The carrier also offers flights to eleven destinations in India as well Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Jakarta and Guangzhou.


Oman Air’s European network includes service to London, Manchester, Milan, Munich, Frankfurt, Paris, Zurich, Istanbul and Moscow. Domestically, the airline serves Salalah and Khasab, while seasonal flights are also offered to Athens, Alexandria, and Malé. Oman Air operates a fleet of nine Boeing 787s, ten Airbus A330s and 21 Boeing 737NGs.
