Norse Atlantic Airways Opens Ticket Sales Between Rome and New York-JFK With Fares From €239

Norse Atlantic Airways has today launched ticket sales between Rome Fiumicino and New York-JFK with one-way Economy Light fares from €239, and one-way Premium Light fares from €550.

On Tuesday (January 24, 2023), Norse Atlantic Airways announced the launch of ticket sales for flights between Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and New York-JFK. The inaugural flight will depart on June 19, 2023 and the route will be operated daily. Like all Norse flights, the route will be operated with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The flight will depart Rome at 19:30 and arrive in New York at 23:00, while the return flight departs JFK at 01:00 and arrives in Rome at 15:45 (all times local). With the new service, Rome becomes Norse’s fifth European destination served from New York-JFK.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Norse Atlantic Airways’ CEO, Bjørn Tore Larsen, said,

“We are very pleased to announce Rome as our fifth capital city in Europe offering a direct Norse Atlantic Airways flight to New York JFK. Customers on both sides of the Atlantic will be able to enjoy value, excellent onboard service and comfort while travelling between these two culturally vibrant and exciting cities. The addition of Rome to our network will provide another gateway to Europe and strengthen our presence in New York.”

Also commenting on Norse’s new service, Aeroporti di Roma’s Chief Aviation Officer, Ivan Bassato, added,

“We are pleased to welcome Norse Atlantic Airways to Rome Fiumicino. This new direct flight to New York JFK will complete the overall offering between the two cities with an outbound evening service which will enrich our customers’ travel options. By choosing Rome FCO, Norse Atlantic Airways is another new airline that has recognised the operational excellence of our airport and the great attractiveness of our market.”

Norse Atlantic’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners are configured with Economy and Premium cabins, and customers can choose between Light, Classic and Plus fares. Light fares represent the best value, while Plus fares include the maximum baggage allowance, two meal services and an enhanced airport and onboard experience and added ticket flexibility. Each seat is equipped with a state-of-the art inflight entertainment (IFE) experience, and Premium cabin seats feature a generous 43-inch seat pitch and a comfortable 12-inch recline.

Founded in March 2021 by major shareholder and CEO Bjørn Tore Larsen, Norse Atlantic Airways offers affordable transatlantic and European flights. The company’s head office is located in Arendal, Norway, and Norse has a second office in London. Norse has a fleet of 15 modern, fuel-efficient Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. The carrier serves or will serve destinations including New York, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Paris, London and Berlin. The airline’s first flight between Oslo and the U.S. departed on June 14, 2022.
