Norse Atlantic Airways Celebrate One Year of Transatlantic Service

Norse Atlantic Airways is today celebrating one year of transatlantic service, with their inaugural flight between Oslo and New York taking flight on June 14, 2022. The carrier now serves 12 destinations including five in Europe and seven in the U.S.

On Wednesday (June 14, 2023), Norse Atlantic celebrated their first anniversary of transatlantic service, with their inaugural Oslo-New York flight taking flight on June 14, 2022. The carrier now serves 12 destinations, including five in Europe and seven in the U.S. Since June 2022, Norse has conducted over 2,630 flights and has carried nearly 500,000 passengers and 14,500 tons of cargo, including 4,000 tons of fish between Norway and the U.S. Norse currently employs over 1,000 team members across Norway, the UK, Europe and the U.S.


In Wednesday’s announcement, Norse Atlantic Airways’ Founder and CEO, Bjørn Tore Larsen, said,

This milestone not only reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team but also highlights the growing demand for affordable, high-quality transatlantic travel. Founded in March 2021 by major shareholder and CEO Bjørn Tore Larsen, Norse Atlantic Airways offers affordable transatlantic and European flights. The airline’s first flight between Oslo and the U.S. departed on June 14, 2022. The company’s head office is located in Arendal, Norway, and Norse has a second office in London. Norse has a fleet of 15 modern, fuel-efficient Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. The carrier offers service to New York, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Miami, Washington, San Francisco, Boston, Oslo, Paris, Rome, London, Berlin, Bangkok and Barbados, as well as Kingston and Montego Bay in Jamaica
