On Thursday (August 5, 2021), Nolinor Aviation announced that their Quebec-based OWG division has acquired their first Boeing 737-800. The acquisition of the aircraft will allow the carrier to fly longer distances, while creating over 20 specialized jobs. The new OWG destinations, enabled by the aircraft, will be announced in the coming weeks. The aircraft was purchased from a special purpose corporation, wholly-owned by Frank DeMarinis, and is expected to enter revenue service in 2022. In the meantime, the aircraft’s cabin will be modified to meet OWG’s image and standards.

In Thursday’s announcement, Noliner Aviation’s President, Mr. Marco Prud’homme, said,

Our team spent the past year planning this moment and we look forward to flying again when it will be safe to do so. With this new 737-800 aircraft, OWG will offer the HIGH LOVE experience towards more destinations. It is the next logical step for us. OWG will continue to reinvent the travel experience by ensuring that we always have the interests and needs of our travelers at heart.”

OWG’s Boeing 737-800 can accommodate 189 passengers and has a range of 5,765 km (3,113 nm). The aircraft’s maximum cruise speed is 946 km/h (588 mph), with an optimum cruise speed of 842 km/h (523 mph).

Founded in 2020, OWG is the newest division of Nolinor Aviation. The carrier offers scheduled flights to select Caribbean destinations with a fleet of three 156-seat Boeing 737-400s and one 189-passenger Boeing 737-800.
