On Tuesday (June 11, 2024), eSIM Go announced that they have partnered with the Lufthansa Group to provide eSIM mobile data services to passengers traveling with four of the Group’s airlines, including Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines.  This follows the positive launch of a SWISS eSIM service earlier this year.  Each service is enabled by eSIM Go’s fully managed Powered by Breeze solution, making it easy for travelers to stay connected in over 150 countries, while avoiding expensive data roaming charges.

In Tuesday’s announcement, eSIM Go’s Vice President – Travel, Bill McKimm, said,

“We’re really excited to be partnering with Lufthansa Group and playing a key role in their strategy to champion the end-to-end passenger travel experience.  As the hottest category in airline ancillaries for years, branded travel eSIMs are a great opportunity to increase customer value both in revenue but also in terms of added loyalty, and the platform they create for other core and ancillary services.”

Also commenting on the new connectivity solution partnership, Lufthansa Group’s VP – Ancillary, Partner and Retail, Johann-Philipp Bruns, added,

“This partnership with eSIM Go will give seamless and hassle-free access to mobile data plans to many more customers in 2024, providing them with a more affordable alternative to traditional data roaming.  Whether traveling for business or leisure, staying connected is an increasingly important part of the travel experience for our customers.”

eSIM Go currently has partnerships with numerous airlines in place, including Wizz Air and Icelandair, as well as with airports such as Sydney Airport (SYD) and Fraport Group, which includes Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and many others.

eSIM Go allows businesses of any size to offer their own digital connectivity solutions to customers, and provides everything needed to scale their global opportunity.  Any commercial model can align with eSIM Go’s complete eSIM product ecosystem, enabling partners to embed their capabilities into their product via API, co-brand a fully managed eSIM service, or by becoming an affiliate.
