Today (August 3, 2020), Lufthansa announced an expansion of their schedule from Munich (MUC) bringing the number of German and European destinations on offer for summer 2020 to 86. From September 7, 2020, the carrier is adding service to Marseille, Gothenburg, Kyiv, and Sibiu (Romania), while flights between Munich and Graz will resume on October 5, 2020. Lufthansa has already expanded their Bavarian summer holiday schedule with the addition of Rhodes and the resumption of non-stop service between Munich and Birmingham, Izmir, Tbilisi (Georgia), and Cluj and Timisoara in Romania. Additionally, Luxembourg Airport will reopen on September 1, 2020, bringing Lufthansa’s Munich timetable to 86 destinations in Germany and Europe as well as 13 long-haul destinations by the end of October 2020.

As always, passenger safety is Lufthansa’s top priority, especially regarding maximum hygiene protocols both on the ground and in the air. The complete range of health and safety measures of the German flag carrier are available on the company website, which includes an adapted in-flight service to minimize contact. Additionally, Lufthansa has implemented flexible options for travel arrangements for added peace of mind when booking flights.
