LATAM will resume three weekly flights from Santiago to Auckland, New Zealand and Sydney, Australia starting March 29, 2022. Travelers must hold a vaccination certificate proving they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to departure.
On Thursday (February 17, 2022), LATAM Airline Group announced the resumption of service to Australia and New Zealand from March 29, 2022. The carrier will offer three weekly flights to each destination, and travelers will be required to provide a COVID-19 vaccination certificate proving they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to departure. Additionally, they must complete a sworn statement and present a negative PCR test result carried out within 72 hours of departure. Customers traveling to New Zealand must meet specific entry requirements, which will be made increasingly flexible when the country’s borders are completely reopened in October 2022. In today’s announcment, LATAM’s regional Marketing and E-commerce manager, Claudio Moro, said,
“Throughout the pandemic, we have actively collaborated with authorities to safely move towards a revival of the travel industry. The resumption of routes to New Zealand and Australia is one more step on the way to a new normal. We will continue working toward greater international connectivity, always having the health and safety of our passengers and collaborators as a priority.”
