On Thursday (November 10, 2022), Jetstar Asia announced that they have received approval to operate 21 additional weekly services from Singapore from December 2022 to five popular destinations including Bangkok, Bali, Penang, Phnom Penh and Phuket. The carrier will increase flight from Singapore Changi to Bangkok from nine to 17 weekly frequencies with two weekday and one Sunday service. Five weekly flights will also be added to Denpasar, Bali expanding the number of weekly flights from nine to 14. One additional weekday flight will also be added to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and two additional services will be added to Penang in Malaysia. Five additional services will also be added between Changi and Phuket, offering travelers daily service to the popular beach destination in Thailand.

In Thursday’s announcement, Jetstar Asia’s CEO, Barathan Pasupathi, said,

“We’re seeing strong demand for air-travel in the upcoming holiday period, and we’re responding to ensure more of our customers have more options for low-fares travel during this time. These new services are a response to the pent-up demand for travel and reflects Jetstar Asia's ongoing focus on rebuilding our extensive network.”

All Jetstar Asia flights will continue to operate from Terminal 1 at Singapore’s Changi Airport until March 2023. Customers who think their plans might change can add peace of mind by adding FareCredit to their booking, which allows cancellation of bookings until airport check-in opens. If a FareCredit customer cancels a booking, they will receive a credit voucher for the value of their flights plus any ancillaries such as baggage, meals and seats (some exclusions apply).
