Jetstar Asia’s inaugural flight between Broome in Western Australia and Singapore took to the skies on Tuesday (June 25th). The route will now operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays with an Airbus A320.
On Tuesday (June 25, 2024), Jetstar announced the launch of Jetstar Asia’s inaugural flight between Broome in Western Australia and Singapore. With the new service, Jetstar Asia becomes the only carrier to operate international flights into regional Western Australia. The new seasonal service will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays with an Airbus A320, offering nearly 13,000 low-fare seats on the route annually. Inbound travelers to Broome, the gateway to the Kimberly region, can enjoy stunning natural beauty, including the white sands of Cable Beach, the dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume Point, and whale watching in the Indian Ocean. The route will operate through October 26, 2024, before recommencing in April 2025.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Jetstar Asia’s COO, Geoffrey Lui, said,

Also commenting on the new route launch, Broome International Airport’s CEO, Craig Shaw said,

Launched in in 2004, Jetstar Airways is wholly owned by the Qantas Group, and has to date carried over 350 million passengers, operating in Australia and New Zealand.
