JetBlue Announces Promotion of Dmitry Kopylov to Vice President, Strategic Sourcing and Fleet

JetBlue has promoted Dmitry Kopylov to Vice President – Strategic Sourcing and Fleet. Mr. Kopylov joined JetBlue in 2017 as the carrier’s Director of Strategic Sourcing. In his new role, he will be responsible for sourcing all products and services for JetBlue.

On Thursday (June 3, 2021), JetBlue announced the promotion to Dmitry Kopylov to Vice President – Strategic Sourcing in Fleet. In his new role, Mr. Kopylov will lead all sourcing and fleet management including the sourcing and optimization of aircraft engines and next generation technologies to advance the carrier as an industry leader. He will also allocate resources across technical, commercial and operating groups at JetBlue, as well as with aircraft manufacturers and other business partners. Dmitry Kopylov joined JetBlue in 2017 as the airline’s Director of Strategic Sourcing, and prior to joining the carrier, spent nearly two decades in strategic sourcing at Major U.S. brands ranging from fashion to food.


In Thursday’s announcement, JetBlue’s Acting Chief Financial Officer, Ursula Hurley, said,


“Since joining JetBlue in 2017, Dmitry has proven to be a true ambassador of our culture and values, and we are happy Dmitry is taking on this role. Dmitry has made great strides in his role as our director, strategic sourcing as he and the team have played an integral role collaborating with teams across JetBlue to achieve our structural cost savings. We are looking forward to him bringing that same expertise at an important time in our fleet’s evolution.”
