On Tuesday (May 7, 2024), JetBlue announced the launch of a new loyalty partnership with Etihad Airways, building on their existing codeshare partnership.  Starting Wednesday, May 8, 2024, qualifying TrueBlue® and Etihad guest members will be able to earn and redeem across both carriers.  The expanded agreement supports Etihad’s continued investment in the U.S. market and follows the launch of new service between Abu Dhabi and Boston, as well as the introduction of Airbus A380 service to New York.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Etihad Guest’s Managing Director, Mark Potter, said,

“JetBlue has been an important partner for Etihad for almost a decade and we’re thrilled to be extending this partnership to our loyalty programmes, benefitting both of our airlines’ valued members. We look forward to welcoming and rewarding TrueBlue members.  This also further bolsters Etihad’s commitment to the U.S. market, following the recent launch of our direct service connecting Abu Dhabi and Boston, as well as introducing our popular A380 onto the New York route, expanding capacity.”'

Also commenting on the expanded commercial cooperation, JetBlue’s Vice President of Loyalty and Partnerships, Christopher Buckner, added,

“As a successful partner since 2014, we are excited to introduce loyalty benefits as part of our codeshare partnership with Etihad.  This partnership extension delivers both JetBlue TrueBlue and Etihad Guest members more ways to earn and redeem on travel, making exploring either airline’s network of top global destinations even more rewarding.”

The new loyalty partnership builds on a nearly decade old relationship, which delivers access from Boston and New York to Etihad’s global network of over 70 destinations, as well as more than 40 destinations across JetBlue’s network in the Americas.

Founded in 2003, Etihad Airways is the national airline of the UAE.  From their home in Abu Dhabi, Etihad offers passenger and cargo service to destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.  The carrier’s codeshare partnerships extends their network to hundreds of international destinations.

JetBlue is ‘New York’s Hometown Airline®’ and a leading carrier in Boston (BOS), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Los Angeles (LAX), Orlando (MCO) and San Juan (SJU).  The airline carries guests to over 100 destinations across the U.S., Caribbean, Latin America, the United Kingdom (London Heathrow and Gatwick), Paris, Amsterdam, and Dublin.  JetBlue Airways Corporation trades on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol JBLU.
