Icelandair and Turkish Airlines have launched a new codeshare partnership, which will bring new connections and easier access to exciting destinations.

On Sunday (June 4, 2023), Icelandair announced the launch of a new codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines. The agreement was signed at IATA’s Annual General Meeting in Istanbul, Türkiye, and will bring new connections and easier access to exciting destinations. Icelandair passengers in North America and Iceland can now seamlessly connect eastbound via Turkish Airlines’ network to Istanbul, while Turkish Airlines’ worldwide guests will be able to connect westbound via Icelandair’s network to Iceland and Canada. Customers traveling on a codeshare itinerary will travel on a single ticket and have their baggage checked all the way through to their final destination.


Turkish Airlines was founded in 1933 and currently offers service to over 340 destinations in 129 countries from their home airport in Istanbul, Türkiye, more than any other airline in the world. The airline is a member of the global Star Alliance, and operates a modern fleet of 416 passenger and cargo aircraft.
